Who we are
Family Dispute Resolution and Family Works are part of the not-for-profit organisation Presbyterian Support Central (PSC) which has supported people and communities, particularly those in need, since 1909.
We are, along with six other regional Presbyterian Support organisations, one of New Zealand’s largest health and social service providers. Our websites are:
We do not collect personal information on this site unless you choose to give it to us. There are places on the site where you can choose to give us personal information, such as:
- emailing an enquiry to us
- completing a registration form
- requesting an information brochure
- completing one of our contact forms.
We collect your contact details in order to respond to you with the information you have requested.
Use and disclosure
We will only use personal information that you provide to us through this site for the purposes for which you supplied it or, in exceptional situations, for other reasons permitted under the Privacy Act 1993. We may use your personal information for the purposes of administering and improving the site, improving our services or communicating with site users.
Some of the information you provide will be used for statistical and/or research purposes to help improve service delivery and for auditing purposes. In these contexts you will not be personally identified.
Family Works reserves the right to share information with appropriate agencies where there is evidence of serious risk of harm to you or someone else.

Family Dispute Resolution Service
Family Works is funded by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) to provide Family Dispute Resolution (FDR). To enable you to access this, we need to share information we collect from you with MoJ. This information will be loaded onto a secure database that only people directly involved in your case are able to access. We can assure you that this information is guarded very carefully and confidentially.
Parenting Through Separation
Family Works is funded by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) to provide the free Parenting Through Separation programme. Information is securely entered onto a MoJ database for auditing purposes and to provide you with a certificate on course completion.
We may collect, hold, and use statistical information about website visits to help us improve the site. The data collected is aggregated and is not personally identifiable. IP addresses are masked so that they cannot be used to identify individuals. Our web analytics will also respect any “do not track” setting you might have set on your browser.
Your rights and choices
We are happy to provide you with access to any personal information that we hold about you that have come from your interactions with our website. If the information is wrong, please ask us to correct it. To ask for access or correction, see our contact details. You can ask to be removed from any of our subscription lists at any time. If you are a current or past client or resident and wish to access your client information please contact your local site or client centre.
